Gang attacks history-sheeters

Police said Srinivasan (26), Prasanth (20), Summan (22) from Kannagi Nagar in Thoraipakkam were accused in a murder case at Kannagi Nagar in 2016. On Monday, the trio, along with two others, were returning on Srinivasan’s auto after appearing at the Chengalpattu court.

While on Chengalpattu-Tiruporur road, six men on three motorbikes intercepted and attacked them with sickles before escaping from the spot. The Tiruporur police admitted the injured trio to Chengalpattu government hospital. Srinivasan suffered deep cut injuries and was under incentive care. The Tiruporur police are trying to identify the attackers.
