Pvt firm staff molests teen, held under Pocso Act

Police said the accused, identified as Balasubramaniam, an employee of a private firm, had developed a friendship with the victim’s mother when they worked together in a different company. After the woman was separated from her husband, Balasubramaniam used to visit the woman regularly. He often used to molest the minor girl without the mother’s knowledge, alleged the police. Finally, she complained to her mother unable to undergo this anymore. Following this, the woman lodged a complaint at Vadapalani all women police station and Balasubramaniam was arrested on Saturday. He was booked under sections of Pocso Act and remanded in judicial custody.
