Housebreaker nabbed red-handed
A youth who broke into a house and stole 10 sovereigns and Rs 20,000 in cash at Veppambattu in Tiruvallur was caught red-handed by the public on Saturday.

Nandhakumar (40) from Veppambattu in Vinayagapuram, who runs a hardware shop in that area, locked the house and went to the shop along with his mother on Saturday morning. When his mother returned from the shop around 10 am, she was shocked to see her house broke open with a person inside. As she raised an alarm, neighbours rushed to her rescue and nabbed the man. Chevvapet police arrested the youth and recovered the stolen articles and cash.
