School conducts rally to celebrate 100 years
Shri Sanatana Dharma Vidhyalaya and the Association along with the Lions Club of Fort St George recently conducts a rally-Prajna-on the occasion of the school’s centenary celebration.

The motive for organising this event was to create awareness on various socio-demographic factors affecting the society. The occasion commenced with the inaugural function at the SSDV school premises. The chief guest was the Vice District governor PV Prakash Kumar and guest of honour was S Lakshmanan, Assistant Commissioner of Police.
The principal of the school S Latha welcomed the gathering. The Joint Secretary of SSDV Association, Ashok Kumar Mundhra, highlighted the centenary year of the school and also spoke on Jhaver Olympics that would be conducted soon.
The correspondent of SSDV, S P Baheti, delivered a speech to the gathering. The rally was flagged off by the chief guest with a tree planting in the presence of SSDV Association Board members.
Students of Shri Sanatana Dharma Vidyalaya, Motilal Fomra Sanatana Dharma Higher Secondary School, Shri Kanaiyalal Agarwal Bal Niketan and Nursery Primary School took part in the rally and carried placards and banners based on themes like girl protection, rainwater harvesting, say no to plastic/tobacco, organ and blood donation, obey traffic rules etc.
During the procession, plant seeds, paper bags, saplings, helmets and buttermilk were distributed to the public. Cultural shows like oyilattam and skit on advantages of helmet were also staged. dance theme on highlighting the advantage of wearing helmets was also organized
