    Expect more rain in 5 days: Met

    The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) officials said on Monday that light to moderate rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Tamil Nadu. Various districts including Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chennai, Vellore, Villupuram, Cuddalore, The Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Theni, Dindigul and Tiruvannamalai are expected to receive rainfall for the next five days.

    The RMC officials said that the sky condition is likely to be generally cloudy in the city. Light rain is likely to occur in some areas in next 48 hours. The city temperatures are to range between a maximum of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of about 28 degrees Celsius respectively.


    On Monday, Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam weather stations received a maximum temperature of 37.1 degrees Celsius and 36.5 degrees Celsius respectively. The minimum temperature dropped to about 28.7 degrees Celsius and 25.1 degrees Celsius in Nungambakkam and Meenambakkam respectively.


    As per RMC bulletin, various parts of the state, including Tiruttani, The Nilgiris, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai and other isolated areas in Tamil Nadu are also expected to receive rainfall on Tuesday.


    After moderate rainfall in northern suburbs of the city in past few days, the central and southern part of the city are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall in the next 48 hours, claimed weather experts.
