Man held for raping minor

The man was identified as Shaheen Shah, who works as a load man for trucks carrying ice blocks, while the victim is a 16-year-old mentally challenged girl, who stayed next to his house in Vyasarpadi. Police said her father is a visually-challenged person who sells candies and snacks in EMUs, while her mother and brother work as daily wage labourers.

The incident came to light after she complained of abdomen pain to her mother. It was found that Shah gagged and sexually assaulted the girl in her house, police said. It was not clear whether the accused has abused her several times as she couldn’t express it. MKB Nagar all-woman police remanded him in judicial custody.
