Cycle rally for environment day held
Chennai Metro on Sunday held a cycle rally from Tirumangalam Metro Station to Bougainvilla Park at Shenoy Nagar to create awareness as part of the World Environment Day celebration.

The campaign which was conducted by the Metro, in association with AYUDH Chennai Chapter, aimed to create awareness among youth and the general public on using and adopting sustainable modes of transportation to reduce the carbon footprint. As an extension to this initiative, AYUDH Chennai Chapter partnered with Chennai Metro Rail Limited to run this successful awareness campaign among youngsters, an official release of the CMRL said.
The event was flagged off by Tamil Film actor, Anish Padman of Mercury fame and CMRL officials. A total of 50 participants took part in this campaign. The cycles for the rally were sponsored by CMRL.
