Actress Kavya Shetty to launch her clothing and jewellery line

They say couples who work (out) together stay together and that’s entirely true for Deekshitha Manikkam and music composer Dharan. She tells that her new styling endeavour has brought them closer and they spend more time together amid their busy schedules. As someone who has been styling for TVCs under the radar for almost two years, Deekshitha’s work came to limelight with Jaya Star Singer where Dharan’s stylish outing has been well received. One glance at any of his looks and you can tell that he is a sneaker-head and loves his shoes! In fact, he is happy just choosing his shoes and then an outfit to match that, says Deekshitha. Some people make shoe contact before eye contact and now we know Dharan is one of them.

From shopping dates to dinner table conversation revolving around the next shoots’ styling, it’s wonderful to see this couple blend romance and work. She claims that out of all the stars she has worked with her husband has been her toughest client. The stories had me in splits and their tiffs over outfits are just too cute for words. Deekshitha tells me she left fashion design to study engineering as per her parents’ request and little did she know that upon finishing the degree she would go back to her first love. She started out styling for a shoot with photographer Muthukumar and then more opportunities came her way. She has won many awards over the years but they have all been for modelling. She has taken all of the learning from being in front of the camera and being styled by the best and is using it to hone her craft. 

Deekshitha is currently working on a few film projects. Her dream is to work with directors and the whole team to create a character through clothing and styling.
