After being rescued, TV clip helps reunite Sivakasi man with family
A day after media highlighted the rescue of destitute people from railway stations across the state, a family from Sivakasi approached the Railway Police after identifying their family members among those rescued from Chengalpattu station.

While watching news on TV about the one-day drive on Wednesday, Marisamy realised that one of them resembled his brother, Kuppusamy, who had gone missing on May 12. When Marisamy and Subbulakshmi, Karuppasamy’s wife, reached here on Friday, railway police personnel took them to the shelter home where they confirmed his identity. After a teary-eyed Karuppasamy agreed to go with them to his native, the police made arrangement for their journey, a press release from the Railway Police said.
