CM Palanisamy convenes meet to discuss water scarcity
The Tamil Nadu government officials and ministers have gone to the drawing board to make the city and state gear up for plan B if monsoon fails the state.

The Chennai city, and state in general is in a spot due to water crisis. CM Edappadi Palanisamy is in firefighting mode to grapple with this dire situation. He has called for a meeting with officials including Deputy CM O Panneerselvam, Chief Secretary Girija Vaidyanathan and other ministers.
The regional capital is eeking out of borewells, desalination plant and the Veeranam lake project.Â
The brainstorming session was focused on multiplying these means in Chennai and arrange for water through municipalities in other districts. There were also discussions on the funds that would go into these plans.
