51-year-old abducted over land dispute
A 51-year-old woman has lodged a complaint at Aminjikarai police station that she was kidnapped and assaulted by a gang of men in connection with a land dispute.

The victim, G Thilagaveni of Kilpauk, had bought her house from Sagayarani in 2012 for Rs 50 lakh. Thilagaveni paid Rs 40 lakh for it. As she was yet to pay the remaining sum of Rs 10 lakh, Sagayarani’s husband Doss allegedly asked Thilagaveni to come to a spot opposite to Ampa Skywalk mall for talks on Wednesday where she claimed she was kidnapped and assaulted.
Thilagaveni claims she somehow managed to escape and register a complaint. The police are also looking into the veracity of her claims.
