Man held for stealing car parked near police station

On Friday, Arunkumar parked the car in front of Otteri police station as his house did not have space to park it. However, on Saturday, he found the car missing and lodged a complaint at Otteri police station. Police received information that a car with stolen vehicle’s registration number has been parked on Stephenson Road in Pulianthope and secured it. Investigation revealed that Ajithkumar (30) of Kathirvedu near Red Hills stole the car as Arunkumar did not return the money he had lent. Police arrested Ajithkumar and remanded him in judicial custody.
