History-sheeter held under Pocso Act in Ayanavaram
A 24-year-old man has been arrested for molesting a 17-year-old girl. The accused Soori alias R Suriya of Madurai Street in Ayanavaram, a history-sheeter with cases pending against him, developed a relationship with a girl.

On Saturday, he eloped with the girl and married her at a temple. Meanwhile, the girl’s sister lodged a complaint at Ayanavaram all-women police station stating that she was missing. A hunt was launched, and Suriya and the minor girl were secured. Suriya was booked under Pocso Act and was remanded in judicial custody.
