Lathicharge on passengers in Koyambedu Mofussil bus terminus

Just few hours ahead of second phase of general election in Tamil Nadu, People who had come to board their buses on Wednesday night in Koyambedu Mofussil bus terminus were beaten up by police as there was a huge rush.

Passengers said that they had to wait hours together in order to board their buses to go back to their native place, to exercises their franchise.

It is reportedly said that the heavy rush is caused by inadequate buses to ferry passengers to southern part of Tamil Nadu, and commuter complained that they are overcharged.
