Wife ended life due to trio’s sexual abuse: Man

The police said that the deceased woman was a mother of two children while her husband is paralysed. Three neighbour men allegedly sexually abused her recently.

The police said that she was dejected when her brothers confronted her about the incident on Saturday and hanged herself in the house. She was rushed to the nearby hospital with the help of neighbours but was declared dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, the woman’s husband lodged a complaint at the Triplicane police station that his wife resorted to the extreme step due to the sexual harassment of three men and sought to arrest them immediately.

Currently, a case of suspicious death has been registered under Section 174 of the CrPC and the police are investigating further, said sources.

The police also said that the samples of the woman’s body have been sent to the forensic lab and the sections will be altered, if needed, based on the outcome of the analysis.
