Break dancer Thiyagu aka Bboy Black makes city proud

 Earlier this year, he participated in the preliminary round of Red Bull BC One, an international annual break dancing competition — held in India this time.

He went through to the South Zone selection round. One other Bboy from Chennai, one from Hyderabad and 13 from Bengaluru qualified for and competed in this round, with three qualifying for the next round. For the first time, with Bboy Black making it to this level, is a Chennaiite getting this ahead in the international competition. He has made his teacher Anto George, family and friends proud. Sixteen breakers from across the world will ultimately earn the right to enter into an all-out battle, and one will be crowned champion.
