Hot summer for Tamil Nadu this year: Regional meteorological center

The Regional Meteorological Society in Chennai celebrated the "International Weather Day", on 22 March and Dr. Surya Chandra Rao presided over the event.

While addressing the press,  the Director of  Regional Meteorological Center, said "There has been a rise in temperature all over India after 2016. A steep rise in temperature was seen, especially in the past 4 years. Tamil Nadu is most likely to face its hottest summer this year". 

"A special exhibition is arranged for public view, where the instruments like different models of Anemometer, photographs of the recent Gaja storm etc are displayed.", he further added.
