Learn to be happy despite our circumstances
When each of us realises that life is a limited-period, one-time offer, and we choose not to postpone happiness, we will learn to be happy despite our circumstances. So, happiness is an intensely personal choice. Only when individuals are happy can they contribute to building happy families and harmonious, happy communities and workplaces.

Stop depending on money for happiness
Today, the main thing that makes our society happy is money. People have forgotten to enjoy themselves without money. If you ask someone what gives them happiness, the majority would say material things. The more you chase after material happiness and success, until you achieve it, you are going to be frustrated. You have to limit your desires and need to fulfill your potential. Be true to who you are and do what you love and stop depending on money to be the balm to all your ailments. If you find a space outside material elements, happiness will follow you.

Start cultivating kindness
My idea of happiness is being healthy in life and if I can do with fitness every day that makes me feel good. You can be happy throughout your life if you have good health. Whether I am cycling, walking, lifting weights, swimming or horse riding; I am a happy person. And the best way to build a happier society is by giving the best to others — not just to near and dear ones, but to somebody who is less privileged. I think that would give anyone a genuine sense of satisfaction. Kindness is such a simple concept; start cultivating it and you’ll realise how happy you can be in life.

Look at life from a different perspective
Happiness should be celebrated every day. If you try changing your life for others’ sake, then you will become a miserable person. Happiness is a choice and it’s about how you choose to look at your life. It’s not easy to be a transgender actor in the film industry. I’ve faced a lot of struggles, but nothing dampened my enthusiasm. For me, acting gives happiness. By spending time at shoot locations and interacting with experienced actors, I learned to look life from a
positive perspective.

Stop the daily rush and spend time with yourself
People need to be nicer to each other instead of just being focussed on driving their own agenda. Take life easy and don’t struggle for a living — what’s meant to be yours will come to you. Living in a competitive world, we are being perfectionistic and self-critical most of the time. Guys, life is too short, so find time to do whatever you love. Moreover, we should stop taking things into our heart; ‘I-am-offended’ culture is increasing in today’s society.
