Tasmac supervisor arrested for murdering staffer at Maduravoyal
Two days after a 60-year-old worker of a bar attached to a Tasmac outlet was found dead at the parking lot in Maduravoyal, the police have arrested the bar supervisor for murdering him.

An investigation revealed that N Raja (23) of Ramanathapruam district, who works as the supervisorat the bar, pushed K Mahendran in a quarrel and the latter died of head injuries, the police said.
The incident happened on Monday and Raja himself informed the police that Mahendran collapsed and died. His body was retrieved and sent to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s kin R Seeman lodged a complaint raising suspicion on Mahendran’s death. While the police registered a case of unnatural death and were investigating, the post-mortem report revealed that Mahendran died of grievous injuries on the head. During interrogation, Raja admitted that he fought with Mahendran for coming late towork every day and pushed him against a metal door. “Mahendran hit the iron railing of the door and collapsed,” the police said.
Raja was arrested on murder charges and remanded in judicial custody.
