Two students held for bike theft
Two college students who targeted two-wheelers parked outside houses in and around Villivakkam were arrested.

Naganathan of Nerkundram parked his two-wheeler in front of a shop at Janaki Nagar in Valasaravakkam on March 6 found it stolen the next morning. Based on his complaint, the Valasaravakkam police registered a case and combed the CCTV footage retrieved from the locality. It showed two young men stealing the bike.
Meanwhile, police personnel on patrol at Alwar Thirunagar on Saturday secured a bike-borne duo on suspicion. One of them was identified as Vimalraj of Gerugambakkam, a second-year college student, and the other person was a juvenile. Three stolen bikes were recovered from them. Vimalraj was remanded in judicial custody and the minor was sent to an observation home.
Meanwhile, the Thousand Lights police arrested two juveniles on the charges of burgling a shop. The police said that the owner, Jalaludin, locked the shop in Thousand Lights on Friday night and left. When he came to open the hop the next day, he found the lock broken open and the cash kept in the drawer was stolen.
A police complaint was filed and after an investigation, two juveniles were arrested.
