42-yr-old held for exchanging fake gold
A 42-year-old man was arrested for exchanging fake jewels with a jeweller in Flower Bazaar. The police said that Thambarao (51), who runs a jewellery shop on NSC Bose Road, was approached by a man on March 6 to purchase jewels weighing 15 grams in exchange of 20 grams of old gold jewellery.

However, when Thambarao melted the old jewels, he found that it was fake. A complaint was lodged with the police and the suspect was arrested. He was identified as Ramvilas Sav (42). During the investigation, it was found that he cheated jewellers in other parts of the city and Vellore, too.
