DakshinaChitra in association with Madras Craft Foundation presents the fourth edition of Utsavam. The theme of this year’s event is Women and Goddesses: Myth and Reality. The one-day event that’ll be held on March 9 will see various interesting activities from morning onwards. P Rajagopal and Hanne of the Kattaikuttu Gurukulam will address a session called Shame Miss, a talk and demonstration on women, performance and the public space. There will also be an interactive performance about gender equality through Kattaikkuttu, Bharatanatyam and Carnatic music.

Counter Culture Comedy Club, the exclusive comedy club located at Alwarpet, will be bringing a popular standup comedian, Dr Rohini R, for an standup show on March 7. An ENT, head and neck surgeon by profession, Dr Rohini is also a stand-up comic (when people laugh), a writer, an artist and a digital illustrator (Creator of Doodle Rage). Dark comedy is Rohini’s forte and she might just write you a prescription for laughter!
