Duo on bike attacks woman, robs chain
Two unidentified men attacked a woman near Pazhavanthangal and robbed her five-sovereign gold chain on Saturday. The victim, V Jayanthi (58) of 35th Street in Nanganallur, was walking home along with her husband after visiting a temple when the incident took place.

The police said Jayanthi’s husband was walking ahead of her when two men on a two-wheeler intercepted her on the pretext of asking for an address. When she was replying to them, the pillion rider attacked Jayanthi, snatched her chain and fled from the spot. She was admitted to a private hospital. The Pazhavanthangal police have registered a case.
