IIT-Madras M Tech student ends life in hostel room

A First year M.Tech student, a native of Uttar Pradesh, committed suicide at his hostel room in the IIT-Madras campus last night.

Police sources said the student, Gopal Babu, committed suicide in his room at Brahmaputra hostel.

Acting on information, police visited the spot and shifted the body to Government hospital for autopsy.
