Flights diverted to Chennai due to heavy fog in Bengaluru
Following heavy fog in Bangalore on Saturday morning, the flights which were supposed to land in Bengaluru were diverted to Chennai.

Sources said the flights were diverted to Chennai, Coimbatore and Hyderabad. In total, six flights were diverted to Chennai airport between 6.35 am and 11.30 am. Later, after 11.45 pm, the flights which were diverted from Bengaluru departed after the fog cleared.
Meanwhile, an Air India flight which arrived from Guwahati, scheduled to land at Chennai at 9 am, was diverted to Hyderabad as there was no vacant bay at the Chennai airport.
Snag delays flight to Sri Lanka
A Chennai-Colombo flight was delayed for more than an hour after the pilot noticed a technical snag just before take off from the Chennai airport on Saturday.
Air India’s Chennai-Colombo flight was scheduled to depart from Chennai airport at 3 am on Saturday.
The flight was pulled to the bay with 147 passengers and cabin crew. When the pilot was about to take off, a technical snag was noticed.
The pilot informed the Chennai ATC immediately. Later, the flight was pulled back to the bay. Aircraft engineers rectified the fault while the passengers were made to stay inside the flight. The flight departed by 4.30 am.
