Traffic rules to be followed on the roads, traffic signs, road safety traffic equipment, its benefits and placards on road safety were part of the gallery which was set up by Media Max, Federation of Motor Sports Club of India (FMSCI) and SP Robotic Works on the seventh floor of the commissionerate.

The star attraction of the gallery is the robot which would explain the road safety rules in a simple manner to children. The robot was created by students of SP Robotic Works.

“The robot costs Rs 4 lakh. More galleries with such robots will be installed across the city. These robots will guide the visitors around the gallery. Schools willing to visit the gallery can approach the department,” said A Arun, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic.

Joint Commissioner (Traffic) R Sudhakar said that they plan to bring in school students in batches to visit the traffic awareness gallery and the commissionerate. “Anybody who visits the commissionerate can visit the gallery,” he added.
