Fake astrologer robs 4.5 svgn from unmarried man
A 38-year-old man was conned by an unidentified man who looted a 4.5-sovereign gold chain by introducing himself as an astrologer near Chromepet on Wednesday.

Police said, Parthasarathi, an unmarried man was approached by a man introducing himself as an astrologer.
He told Parthasarathi to perform a pooja to get married. Following that Parthasarathi invited the man to his house and started the pooja. Later he asked Parthasarathi to sprinkle holy water around the house. Â
After finishing, Parthasarathi returned and was shocked to see the man missing with the gold chain placed for the pooja. Chitlapakkam police have registered a case and are trying to identify the man.
