Madras High Court vacation court on Thursday

A Madras High Court notification issued said Justices S Vaidyanathan, PT Asha and Krishnan Ramaswamy will sit at the Principal seat at Madras as Vacation Judges.

Likewise, Justices M Nirmal Kumar, C Saravanan and B Pugalendhi will sit at the Madurai bench as Vacation Judges on the same day.

While Justice Vaidyanathan and Justice Asha will hear all division bench matters and thereafter sit single. Justice Rajamanickam will hear bail applications and Justice Krishnan Ramasamy will hear anticipatory bail applications and other single bench criminal side matters.

At the Madurai bench, Justice Nirmal Kumar and Justice C Saravanan would hear all bench matters and thereafter sit separately to hear single bench writ petitions. Justice Pugalendhi would hear all single bench criminal side matters.

The notification also claimed that notice of any application of urgent matters also should be presented along with the required papers to the Vacation Officers on Wednesday (December 26) before 1.30 pm in the High Court, Madras and Madurai bench. Further, for the bail petitions, lower court bail order should also be enclosed with the petitions.
