Cops seize 100 kg banned tobacco

Based on a tip off, the police conducted a raid at the shop in Parthasarathy Nagar and recovered banned tobacco. The owner, J Muralidharan (37), was arrested. Police said that Muralidharan procured the tobacco products, including MDM, Cool Lip, Remo, Hans and Swagath from Bengaluru and sold them to youngsters.

Meanwhile, Sathangadu police arrested a 19-year-old boy and seized 1.2 kg ganja from him. The accused identified as M Ajithkumar from the same locality was found selling ganja at Rajaji Nagar, saidpolice.
