Now, cars for hire at Thirumangalam Metro station
Metro rail users alighting at Thirumangalam station will soon get the opportunity to hire a car on the spot and drive to their destination, considering if they have a driving licence, of course.

Zoom Car, an app and web-based car rental firm, has parked over 15 cars at Thirumangalam parking (near GRT entrance), to make it easier for commuters to drive to their destination without having to wait for a cab or an auto. In a statement announcing the availability of such self-driven cars, CMRL has claimed that it was flooded with several queries about the service. The cars, which could be booked online and through the app, would be available after paying a security deposit of Rs 5,000. Cars such as Ford Figo and Tata Hexa can be booked on hourly, daily and weekly basis.
