British Airways cancels London flight, passengers stranded

The British Airways flight from London which scheduled to arrive at Chennai Airport at 5.30 am, but did not arrive following a technical snag.

The same flight was to return to London at 7.30 am. The airline officials informed the 218 passengers, who booked the tickets that the flight was cancelled.

Since the information was given a few hours before the scheduled departure nearly 100 passengers had already reported to the airport.

Later the passengers were made to stay at hotels nearby. Meanwhile the Air India’s Chennai-Delhi flight that was scheduled to depart at 9.55 am was cancelled due to administration problem.

The 104 passengers who arrived at the airport were asked to wait for another flight but 50 passengers cancelled their tickets and refunded their money.
