Man falls from train as thieves snatch phone
A man from Uttar Pradesh is reportedly unconscious after falling from an express train when miscreants snatched his phone from the ground near Gummidipoondi on Friday.

The victim, Siddheswar Doss from Uttar Pradesh, was travelling in the general compartment of the Coromandel Express bound for Chennai and was sitting on the steps due to space crunch. When the train was moving slow near Nandiambakkam railway station near Gummidipoondi due to a signal, a three-member gang, who were waiting on the ground, hit Siddheswar’s hand with a log to snatch his phone. In the impact, Siddheshwar lost balance and fell from the train. While he suffered grievous injuries, the trio escaped with his phone. The Railway police rushed him to the hospital, where he remained unconscious. The Korukkupet railway police have registered a case and have launched a hunt for the three-member gang.
