Susi Ganesan retorts with a defamation suit against Leela Manimekalai

In what can be said as an expected retort to sexual harassment allegations, ace director Susi Ganesan has filed a defamation case against poet-writer-screenwriter Leena Manimekalai.

The director said that her allegations were completely baseless and false.

The poet-writer-screenwriter had earlier opened up about the alleged assault on her Facebook post.

She had said in her post that in an event that happened in 2005 the ace director forced her to come with him to his apartment. This she said that could not bring it to light earlier because she was scared that it might lead to the end of her career in the industry.

The director denied all her allegations and said that they were false and baseless accusations and also hinted at filing a law suit against her.

Now the director has sued the writer for defamation and has moved the Saidapet court.
