Private doctors told to report dengue cases

The direction was issued at a workshop in which doctors from private hospitals and clinics took part. The meeting was held in Amma Maligai in Ripon Buildings premises.

The Greater Chennai Corporation and Public Health Department are alarmed after 15 dengue cases reported in the city. “Doctors from Egmore Children’s hospital, Communicable Diseases Hospital, Public Health department and others participated in the workshop and apprised doctors of methods to identify dengue and H1N1 patients,” a Corporation official said.
