Chennai
K Lakshmanan, secretary of Communist party of India in Gummidipoondi area, initiated the signature campaign with the patients in government hospital demanding immediate development of the basic facilities.
“The hospital does not have basic facilities for the patients. It is in need of more doctors and nurses apart from blood bank and scan facilities. These are the basic requirements and should be fulfilled immediately. The campaign was held to highlight the issue to the health secretary,” said Lakshmanan.
He added that even after this signature campaign if government failed to respond within two days, they would resort to a protest outside the hospital.
