Cops seize 27 bullets from man’s bike
The Kotturpuram police on Tuesday seized as many as 27 bullets from a bike that belongs to a history-sheeter. The accused, ‘Yamaha’ Sreenivasan, remained absconding, said police.

Police raided his house at Kotturpuram on Monday night after another history-sheeter Mohanram, who was arrested in Mumbai in connection with a triple murder case in Coimbatore, allegedly told the Coimbatore police about his connection with Sreenivasan.
Based on their alert to the city police on Tuesday, a team from Kotturpuram police station rushed to his house to arrest him. As he was not there, police searched his house and vehicles. One of the two-wheelers had 27 bullets hidden underneath the seat in a cover. A hunt has been launched to nab Sreenivasan, said sources in the city police.
Sreenivasan has a murder attempt case registered against him in 2012, noted the police officers.
