Woman lifts child from church, returns after priest’s direction
The girl, Berlin Princy, daughter of Antony Charles, was playing with other children after morning prayers at the church. She was escorted out of the premises by a 57-year-old woman, who was later identified as Devi by the church staff while going through the CCTV footage.

The priest of the church then reportedly called the woman on her phone and asked her to bring the child back to the church, which she did.
“She was finding it difficult to manage the girl who was continuously crying. The woman also found it difficult to answer the queries from neighbours, particularly after the image of the girl was flashed in newspapers and TV channels on Monday,” police noted. The girl has been handed over to her parents. “We have not yet decided on further action against the woman who abducted the girl,” police said.
