Ex professor of Anna varsity found dead

The deceased was identified as Meera Asha Menon, who lived alone on 29th cross street at Indra Nagar in Adyar. She was divorced in 2014. A mechanical engineering professor, she discontinued her job since then, said police. 

On Wednesday, a foul smell emanated from her house, neighbours alerted police, who rushed to the spot and found her dead in a decomposed state. Her body was sent to Government Royapettah Hospital for a post mortem examination. “She could have died at least three days ago,” said Tiruvanmiyur police. A case was registered and police confirmed that there was no suspicion in her death.
