Writing gives clarity of thought to Savi

The story always goes on. And life always tests you. This is what Savi Sharma explores in her third book, Everyone Has A Story – 2, the sequel to her first book — Everyone Has A Story. The author left her CA studies to become a storyteller because the stories around and in her life were inspiring. “I always had the urge to share the things which I experience in my life. I was pursuing CA and had to clear just the finals. But the story of Meera and Vivaan had me take a break. 

The more I got involved in the entire process, the more I found the true me. Finally, I let go of my career as CA to become a writer. I realised I didn’t want to write numbers but stories. Writing is something which gives clarity of thoughts to my mind and heart. I wanted to discover myself yet live different lives in one lifetime. Moreover, I’m happy and content in this phase of my life as I am able to dedicate myself to my mission of inspiring millions of people,” Savi shares.

Our conversation veered towards her book, Everyone Has A Story – 2  that speaks about true friendship, pure love, deep pain, heart-breaking struggles and impossible dreams told from the perspective of fate. “Stories don’t end at the last page of a book, they always continue. There are no happily ever after. When I was thinking about how the lives of my characters would go on after the end of the first book, I knew that just like everyone faces struggles in the real world, they will have their own struggles and challenges. And when I went much deeper into my thoughts, who throws these challenges to us in life, the answer was simple: fate. This book talks about how fate tests the lives of Meera, Vivaan, Kabir, Nisha and many others and whether they can pass those tests or not,” says the author.

We quiz Savi the need for writing a sequel and she replies, “I always had an instinct to write the sequel of Everyone Has A Story because I felt there’s more to explore with the characters and the story was very close to me. I had a couple of plots in my mind when I was working on my third story; the sequel is one of them. The incidents I experienced in my life since the launch of my first book and those which I observed in the lives of people in my life, gave me the idea for the sequel.”

The way social  media has shaped our lives in the last few years has been surprising and shocking and the young author feels that it is one of the best ways to connect with the readers. “The time spent on virtual lives is more than on our real lives. Also, there is a lot of content available on social media, Netflix, Amazon Prime and other platforms which do not require much effort to consume. As an author, you need to be in front of the audience and sell yourself. That’s what I did. With smart marketing and creative content, I was able to reach out to my audience and the response was overwhelming,” shares Savi.

Savi is also the co-founder of motivational media blog Life and People, where she writes about positivity, meditation, the law of attraction, spirituality and other such topics. Says Savi, “I am a very curious, thoughtful and spiritual person at heart. I try to express my learning, perspectives and experiences of life through the blog.”
