The vehicles seized from zones 1-5 (Tiruvottiyur, Manali, Madhavaram, Tondiarpet and Royapuram) are kept at Avadhana Pappaiah Street in division-58, while those from zones 6-10 (Thiru-vi-Ka Nagar, Ambattur, Anna Nagar, Teynampet and Kodambakkam) are at Mayor Sathyamoorthy Salai in division 107 and the vehicles seized from zones 11-15 (Valasaravakkam, Alandur, Adyar, Perungudi and Sholinganallur) are at the old Pallikaranai Garbage Yard in division 188.

The Corporation said that the city police have certified that none of the listed vehicles have been embroiled in legal proceedings. The list of vehicles has also been published on its official website. As no one claimed these vehicles, a committee was formed under the Corporation deputy commissioner (health) on August 20 to prepare an estimate of these vehicles in each zone and conduct an e-auction.

The e-auction will be carried out by the Metal Scrap Trading Corporation on September 27. The companies registered with the Metal Scrap Trading Corporation can only participate in the e-auction. The details of the auction are available at www.mstcecommerce.com or www.mstcindia.co.in.
