17 injured as government bus rams median
Seventeen passengers, including the driver and conductor of a government bus, were injured after a government bus rammed a median near Christianpet on Katpadi-Chittoor highway in the early hours of Wednesday.

Police said that a Thittakudi-bound government bus from Tirupati while passing on the highway towards Katpadi, the driver failed to spot the road margin and rammed the median around 1 pm near a private school. In the impact, 17 persons, including the crew of the bus, were injured. The 15 passengers, who sustained injuries, 13 were from Cuddalore, two from Tiruvannamalai. The driver and conductor were from Thittakudi. Katpadi police rushed and shifted the injured to the Vellore GMC.
