    Chennai City police ropes in Vikram to spread message on CCTV surveillance

    The Greater Chennai Police have roped in actor Vikram to help spread the message on the importance of CCTV surveillance. The actor was part of a short video which will be circulated in the social media.

    Actor Vikram released a 90-second long video on CCTV with Comissioner AK Viswanathan

    The ninety-second video shows Vikram explaining how footage from CCTV cameras help the police in solving cases. He says that the cameras act like a third eye for the police and deters offenders, help detect crimes and the footage serves as crucial evidence during trials. 

    In the video, the actor advocated installing CCTV cameras at all homes and commercial establishments with one camera facing the road. 

    The video, produced by JD-Jery’s Media Park, was launched at City Police Commissionerate in the presence of Commissioner AK Viswanathan, Vikram and Jery, among others. 

    Speaking at the event, the Commissioner said that the drive to install CCTV cameras across the city is being carried out in full-swing and requested cooperation from everyone. 

    This is the second video that the police released stressing on the importance CCTV surveillance. The first one featured actor Vivek.
