Actor files complaint against ex-boyfriend
Actor Nilani, earlier arrested by the police for her comments against police after the Thoothukudi firing incident, lodged a complaint with the Mylapore police saying that her boyfriend was harassing her. Nilani was arrested by the Vadapalani police for making comments on Facebook in May against the police after the firing on anti-Sterlite protesters in Thoothukudi.

In her complaint on Saturday, the actor claimed that Gandhi Lalith Kumar, whom she knew for more than three years, verbally abused her at the shooting spot. “It seems they had parted ways and he had been following her,” police said. They added that she said that they were friends and now that the man was pressurising her to get married to him, in her complaint.
As he was disturbing her peace and abused her in shooting spots, she sought police action against him.
Following the complaint, the Mylapore police called both of them to the police station, where the two again started fighting. But later, they sorted it out and the actor withdrew the complaint, police noted.
