48-yr-old dies in hit-and-run case near Kancheepuram

Police identified the deceased as Kannan (48), an employee at a private firm. The incident took place when he was returning home at Singaperumalkoil after work. 

At around 9 pm, when he was walking on the Hanumanthapuram Road, an unidentified vehicle hit him from behind and sped away. In the impact, Kannan was thrown away and died on the spot. The Maraimalai Nagar police have registered a case and are trying to identify the vehicle.
