Muslim healer killed in Triplicane
A Muslim healer was murdered after an unidentified burqa-clad person threw a kerosene ball in his office in Triplicane on Monday evening.

The deceased man identified as Syed Bazrudhin (62), was a resident of Washermanpet and had been performing services like ‘warding off the evil spirits’ at his office on Triplicane High Road.Â
Around 8 pm, when Syed Bazrudhin was alone at his office, an unidentified person wearing burqa entered the place and threw a lit ball of kerosene escaped from the spot.Â
Bazrudhin engulfed in fire ran out of his office, crying for help. Shocked residents rushed him to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital. However, he died without responding to treatment.Â
On information, Triplicane police registered a case and are trying to identify the person who visited the premises. Police suspect that the accused could have been affected by Bazrudhin’s services and might have killed him to take revenge. Further investigation is on.  Â
