5-step cooking: Besan cheela/vegetarian tomato omelette
Here is a simple 5 step process to make that delicious omelette
Chennai
INGREDIENTS:
Besan flour - 1 cup
Curd - 1 tbsp
Big onion - 1 (finely chopped)
Ripe tomato - 1 (finely chopped)
Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
Curry leaves - a few
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup (chopped)
Asafoetida/hing - 2 pinches
Sugar - a pinch
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tspÂ
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt and water - as needed
Cooking oil - to drizzle
METHOD:Â
- Take all the ingredients in a wide bowl
- Add water and make batter in pourable consistency
- Heat dosa pan. Pour a ladleful of batter and spread it
- Drizzle oil all over the pan
- Flip and cook both sides till golden. Serve hot!
