Miscreants attempt to loot ATM machine in vain at Minjur
Police said that the bank staff had filled cash in the ATM on Thursday evening.

The police are on the lookout for two men, who allegedly tried to break open an ATM kiosk in Minjur on Thursday night. The suspects targeted a private bank
ATM in Valluvar Nagar on the Minjur High Road that had no security personnel.
Police said that the bank staff had filled cash in the ATM on Thursday evening. A few hours later, around 8.45 pm, two masked men entered and snapped wires of CCTV camera. Though their efforts to break it with an iron rod failed, it damaged the machine. Later, customers who found it damaged alerted the police. Police have registered a case and have launched a hunt to nab the suspects.
Meanwhile, Washermenpet police arrested two men for stealing invertor batteries from ATM kiosks in Washermenpet and Royapuram, and recovered batteries and cash. They were identified as Ramesh of Royapuram and Vivek of Chettithottam.
