3 held for robbing German national

The accused have been identified as Ramesh (20), Sathish (20), Prasanna (23). Police said that one of the accused missed his wallet when they surrounded 29-year-old H Hao. 

“The purse was recovered and identity of the accused was established. He was secured first and based on his inputs, the other two were nabbed,” said the investigation officer. 

All three of them are repeat offenders. They were booked under Section 385 (putting person in fear of injury in order to commit extortion) and 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons) and remanded in judicial custody. The victim, H Hao (29), had come to the city for medical reasons and has been staying at a private hotel on Bells Road in Triplicane.
