Students encouraged to bring happiness in other’s lives
Valliammal Matrticulation Higher Secondary School Annanagar East, celebrated 50 years of its inception in a unique way.

The school organised an inter school competition, ‘Kaladharshan 2018’ on its Golden Jubilee founder’s day with an inimitable theme, the peacock. They intend to convey that it’s wonderful when you can bring happiness into people’s lives.
Around 600 students from 40 schools participated in various competitions like, orchestra, spell bee, elocution, essay writing, face painting, cookery, pechu potti and natyakala. There were around 30 judges who declared the results of the contests. The day started with of children enthusiastically participating in various competitions inside the school campus. Mime artist Gopi, the chief guest, lit the lamp in the presence of Chairman A P Maikandan and Principal Geetha Ramasubramanian.
The school honoured each of the judges with a memento. Former Head of the Department of Music of Queen Mary’s College distributed the prizes to the proud winners. Though the host school children participated in all the competitions, they received a special award and were not included in the list of winners. The trophy went to Rajaji Bhavan’s Vidhyashram and Sethu Bhaskara School won the maximum participation award.
