71-year-old homeopathy practitioner commits suicide

The deceased was identified as Anantharaman.
According to police, the 71-year-old was a resident of Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) quarters on 28th street in Korattur. Neighbours told police that Anantharaman stayed on the first floor of the building with his family, while his clinic was on the ground floor. Local police said Anantharaman took the extreme step reportedly due to a feud within the family.
Police have registered a case and are investigating further.
